Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce rakes in two top awards
Jamaican sprinter Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has been named by BBC as one of its top 100 Women in the World for 2019.

Jamaica finished third on the medal table at the 2019 IAAF World Championships with 12 medals, eight more than they won two years ago in London.

Jamaica women’s sprint relay team delivered a fine victory at the IAAF World Championships on Saturday. The team of Natalliah Whyte, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Joneille Smith and Shericka Jackson led from gun to tape in a fast 41.44.
Clayton celebrates bronze in 400mh!
Intermediate hurdler Rushell Clayton made it lucky number seven for Jamaica at the IAAF World Championships in Doha, Qatar.

Jamaica’s medal tally at the IAAF World Championships jumped by fifty percent on day seven. Jamaica now has six medals, two gold, three silver and a bronze. Shericka Jackson won bronze in a hotly contested 400m while Danielle Thomas-Dodd took silver in the Shot Put.

Dacres takes silver at WC!
National record holder Fedrick Dacres was not at his very best but he was still able to take silver in a close contest at the World championships. Dacres, who threw 66.94 metres, was beaten by his great rival, the Swede Daniel Stahl, with 67.59 metres. Lukas Weisshaidinger of Austria was third with 66.82 metres.
