Briana Williams runs 11.10 to own NJR

Double World Junior Champion Briana Williams was in fantastic form in Florida on Saturday, as she ran 11.10 to break the National Junior Record in the 100m.

The old record (11.11) was set only last month by Kiara Grant, also in the United States.

Interestingly, Jamaica now have five juniors faster than 11.20; Williams, Grant, Kevona Davis 11.16, Ashante Moore 11.19 and Lanae-Tava Thomas 11.19. Three in Williams, Davis and Thomas will be juniors next year. Add the Clayton twins (14yrs old) to this group, among others and there is a lot of reasons to be excited.

NB: Thomas was born in Kingston, Jamaica, on January 28, 2001.
